@ Peak District 火車之旅 @ 獅子女愛吃愛玩

<花了三塊錢所欣賞的景色, 自己還爬到喘吁吁! >

有一句英文的諺語真得是很適合我今天的寫照! “Today is not my day.” 一大早出門看到車站有一坨嘔吐物, 於是站在上風處, 避免聞那噁心的味道, 走到Picadically Rail準備搭九點多的火車, 突然想上廁所, 但是臨時我沒有10p, 他媽的! 只好一路問人, 這裡的店家超機車不讓人換, 還好有一位好心的老先生看我可憐讓我用20p 跟他換了兩個10p。

使用完廁所之後, 正準備想要好好的整理儀容一下, 既然花了30P, 當然要物盡其用, 想不到當我正在慢條斯理整理指甲時, 突然廣告開始一直安可似的 “Passengers , please leave the station immediately. ”不斷播放. 只好提著行李趕緊到外頭跟大家會和, 但事發生什麼事情? Nobody knows.

十分鐘後, 廣播讓我們在外頭久等的乘客回到車站, 英國的火車站真得是很忙碌, 忙到讓我今天第一次搭錯車, 可是我覺得很機車, 票務人員要我回到Manchester再搭正確的班次, 所以我只好Stockport下車, 機車的事情來了! 其實Stockport停我原本要搭那班往 Sheffield 的火車, 但是站務人員竟然要我搭回去! 靠! 所以當我回到Manchester時, 從原本的九點只好改成搭10點半的火車, 但是火車卻誤點20分鐘! 變成10點50分開往Sheffield, 詭異的事情又來了! 車子又在Stockport出問題, 所以我們所有的乘客被要求下車等下一班列車, 直到下一班列車來時, 我還不太敢上車, 怕上錯車, 但是其他乘客說這班車是往Sheffield沒錯, 但是當場又沒有站務人員讓我再三確認, 只好硬著頭皮上, 當站務人員來驗票時, 我真得是又上錯車了! 車子真得是往Sheffield沒錯, 只是不停我要去的Hope Derbyshire啊! 所以我只好先到Sheffield再換車往回頭走!

如果今天按照正常順序應該是我在早上10點抵達peak district, 但是一切都亂了! 等到我抵達 Hope Derbyshire時已經是下午一點半左右!

我只能自我安慰, 我花了五塊七英鎊搭這樣距離的火車是很有價值來安慰我心. 因為光距離就已經很值得咧!

但抵達Hope Derbyshire並不代表我已經到達我要去的地方, 因為我真正的目的是距離two miles的 Castleton, 這裡可以參觀一個很破舊的爛城堡, 欣賞落雨繽紛的景致, 搭配上一大片綠意, 順便聽一下咩咩叫! 參觀這一個爛城堡要價3英鎊, 這還是因為我使用學生證才有的優惠! 結果最吸引人的是城堡後方不用錢的山谷地形.

另外, 最讓我印象深刻卻是我花了一英鎊從Castleton搭公車到Edale Railway Station沿路的風景超級無敵英國風, 一大片的綠意, 石塊砌成矮牆將山丘規劃成一畝一畝整齊的景致, 裡頭是羊兒無憂無慮低頭猛吃, 吃肥一點好來刮你們的毛, 因為下雨的關係所以整座山頭充滿霧, 感覺就是棒到不行, 想不到一塊英鎊可以帶來如此讓人深刻的感受啊! 相較之下那三塊英鎊簡直是浪費!

英國有很多無人監管的火車站, 想逃票很難, 因為基本上每一站都有人檢查, 我還沒看過有人可以跑掉的! 另外, 我還是不能習慣有人穿著靴子站在坐位上, 感覺就是髒到不行, 而且看到兩個儀容很髒的人互相擁抱親吻, 兼站到座位上, 感覺就是一個不舒服到極點!

It was not my day. I spent the whole morning getting on the train and getting off the train and wait for another the right train. It was a big torture on me because I took the wrong train to the destination where I want to visit. Because of that, the rail staff asked me to go back Manchester again and therefore I need to take 10:30 train. However, the train was delayed by 20 minutes, and thing became worse because there is something with the train and we were asked to take another train to Sheffield. After taking another one to Sheffield and the staff told me “the train isn’t heading for Hope Derbyshire. You need to go to Sheffield to take another train to Hope.”

When I was in Hope, it was 1: 30 in the afternoon. I asked the locals about the ways to Castleton. It took me 30 minutes on walking 2 miles. The scenery along the way was great but the rain was really unpleasant and made me felt uncomfortable. On a rainy day, I had to take photos, hold an umbrella and carry a tripod at the same time and it caused me really want to abandon them.

Three pounds on the ticket on a ruined castle, and I think it is not worth the price But if you are the castle fan, you can consider to buy a whole year round membership card in order to save money on tickets. I considered for more than 30 minutes and I have decided not to buy it because I am not crazy about castles. The castles in the UK are usually ruined and not really beautiful. Castleton is famous for its mining history and if you like mountain climbing, hiking or cycling. Castleton is really a fantastic place to visit and test your bike suspension system. The roads are really rough because they are covered with lots of rocks. If you have confident with your body, come and try yourself to conquer the top of the mountain. I gave up because I don’t want to carry lots of things to climb the mountain. I left them to the mainlander, sheep!
