I really want to know the oversea students in UK what they cooked for the first dish. Potatoes, sweet pepper or mix them together. I will not cook this dish due to strange match and flavor. However, I have found several oversea students here they put the two food ingredients together especially the oversea students from China and Taiwan. The residents with abundant cooking experience do not cook the two ingredients together as well. Therefore, I desperately want to understand why people will cook this dish.

In Taiwan, we usually buy lunch box in shops but I have not seen anyone sell this kind of food. Is it because potatoes and sweet pepper could be seen in every market in UK?

One day, I asked a Taiwanese girl why you cooked this dish.

“I don’t know what to cook and I have no cooking experience. The potatoes and sweet pepper are the cheapest so I think I could cook the two ingredients together. ” She said.

“But in Taiwan, you never see this dish, right? ” I asked her later on.

She nodded her head and said “I have no choice. ”

Few days later, I noticed another girl from China also cooked the same dish like Taiwanese girl did.

I really want to ask her why you cook this dish. Besides the smell, the timing for cooking the two ingredients are also different because potatoes really need longer time. When the potatoes are well done, the sweet pepper will be really gooey.

By the way, there is one thing I really can’t stand is ventilator. The function of kitchen ventilator is so weak that I have seen several times people cause the kitchen with smoke. Sometimes I could smell it from 20 yards away. I really want to tell the manager here that they should consider importing kitchen ventilator from Taiwan. The function is better than UK.

有沒有將青椒跟馬鈴薯一起煮? 
感覺很怪對不對? 可是我已經看過好幾個學生這樣煮了! 可是對我們這種長期煮飯的人, 是不可能將這兩種食材一起煮! 因為味道不對, 第二時間也不對啊! 

英國的抽油煙機真的是很弱<其實我想講很爛>, 老是造成怪怪味道到處亂竄, Joana就剛好住到廚房對面, 讓她不得不去買30分鐘就噴一次的芳香劑, 不然她的房間鐵定充滿"蔥油餅, 魚露, 燒焦味啊!"
