@ Aviemore <攻頂> @ 獅子女愛吃愛玩

Due to 3 hours and 20 minutes mountain hiking, I am really exhausted. Aviemore is a small village and it’s not famous in Taiwan. Even not every British people know the little place. However, I have to say Aviemore is really fantastic. The small village is surrounded by mountains and a lot of pine trees. It has plenty of paths for different needs. If you believe you are strong enough and don’t hesitate yourself. Come, here provides you lots of different difficulties paths. I don’t know which path I choose. I just follow the guy of youth hostel provided the information. On the way to the top of mountain I found some people tried to ride their own bikes to conquer the mountain. I have to said, I envied them. Pedaling is faster than walking on foot.

The scenery was great because you could see pine trees, marsh which grows amount of calluna and I even saw plenty of mushrooms along the way. The path I chose to challenge is 10 miles and the guy told me it might take 2 hours but I did not believe I could do it. As the result, I really did not make it because the goal that I want to conquer is 100 yards away. I gave up because the wind is too strong so that I could not stand. Don’t mention about walking to the top of mountain. No wonder everybody here always drives their own cars or take the cable car to the top. The Mt. Garingorm is only 1245 meters tall. Actually, it is shorter than the mountain in my hometown. Walking 10 miles in 200 minutes has exhausted all energy. The higher I climbed, the stronger wind I felt. However, I knew I need to reach there because my bus is waiting for me. If I miss it, I will have to wait until 8 pm and I think that’s not a funny thing. When I almost reached there, I met a nice couple who were from Wales. They were really kind because they saw me from their car mirror couldn’t stand and walk forward and they decided to give me a ride to Glenmore.

When I jumped on their van, the wife tried to close the door but she failed several times due to strong wind. On the van, I thought I might be in critical situation because all my face and hands are in red and my fingers seem in frozen from the car mirror and I couldn’t move my fingers. I tried to make myself warm but it took time. The couple was really worried about me because I looked really terrible because of dried lips, red hands, shaking teeth and red face. They tried to provide me food but I told them I already have some in my bag but I still appreciated their kindness. Back the Glenomore was really nice because it’s warmer and the wind was really okay.

Maybe I have experienced the strong wind and low temperature and it caused me feel really okay when I was in Aviemore. Even though the wind is howling outside, I felt nothing. Tomorrow, I decided to visit another place. I hope I won’t feel exhausted again.

It's my second time to live in Youth Hostel. This one is really nice. I love it because it has many facilities.
